According to Hakim b. Hizam (ra), the Messenger of Allah (saw) said: “Both parties in a business transaction have a right of option (to annul it) so long as they are not separated [from each other]; and if they tell the truth and make everything clear, they will be blessed in their transaction, but if they conceal anything and lie, the blessing on their transaction will be erased.” (Abu Daʾud, al-Ijara, 51)

According to Ismaʿil b. ʿUbayd b. Rifaʿa, his father reported that his grandfather (Rifaʿa b. Rafiʿ) (ra) went to the muṣallā (place of prayer) with the Prophet (saw) and when the Prophet (saw) saw people doing business there he said, “O company of merchants!” And they responded to the Messenger of Allah (saw), raising their heads and glances towards him. Then he said, “On the Day of Judgement, the merchants, except for those who fear Allah, are pious, and honest will be raised as profligates.” (al-Tirmidhi, al-Buyuʿ, 40)

According to Jabir b. ʿAbd Allah (ra), the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “When you weigh, add [a little].” (Ibn Maja, al-Tijarat, 34)

According to Jabir b. ʿAbd Allah (ra), the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “May Allah’s mercy be on him who is liberal in his buying,
selling, and demanding [what he is owed].” (al-Bukhari, al-Buyuʿ, 16)

According to Abu Hurayra (ra), the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “...he who is dishonest towards us is not one of us.” (Muslim, al-Iman, 164)
