According to ʿAʾisha (ra), the Messenger of Allah (saw) said, “The best of you is the best to his wives, and I am the best of you to my wives!” (al-Tirmidhi, al-Manaqib, 63)

Al-Aswad b. Yazid (ra) said, “I asked ʿAʾisha (ra), ‘What did the Prophet (saw) use to do at home?’ She said, ‘He used to work for his family, and when he heard the adhān (call for the prayer), he would go out.’” (al-Bukhari, al-Nafaqat, 8)

ʿAʾisha (ra) said, “Allah’s Messenger (saw) never beat anyone with his hand, neither a woman nor a servant, but only when he had been fighting in the cause of Allah.” (Muslim, al-Fadaʾil, 79)

According to ʿAʾisha (ra), “The family of Muhammad (saw) had not eaten their fill of wheat bread for three successive days from the time they emigrated to Medina until the death of the Prophet.” (al-Bukhari, al-Riqaq, 17; Muslim, al-Zuhd, 20)
